Addiction care, before, during and after
Addiction isn't resolved in a single episode. The work begins before someone is ready for treatment and continues long after they leave it — and the gaps between are where people are most at risk.
Pre-care
First contact, triage and early assessment, handled virtually by consultants or triage staff.
This is often the hardest step for a patient to take, and the easiest stage to lose them. Oblix AI gives them somewhere to talk in their own time, so by the time they reach a consultant the groundwork is already in place.
Treatment
Detox and stabilisation, in-patient or out-patient. Consultations digital or in person, depending on the stage.
Sessions, records and decisions sit alongside everything that came before, rather than in a separate file.
Aftercare
Check-ins, ongoing support and relapse risk — mostly virtual, with the earlier work still available to whoever is providing that support.
Nobody starts from scratch. The patient doesn't have to explain themselves again to a new face.
What we treat
Each substance is supported as its own configuration within the addiction pathway — different assessment, different treatment shape, different risks to manage. What stays the same is the continuity around it.
Alcohol
The most common presentation, and the one where medical supervision matters most. Alcohol withdrawal can be physically dangerous, so detox is medically managed rather than something to attempt alone or at home.
Supervised detox, then stabilisation, then the longer work of relapse prevention — with physical health reviewed alongside, because long-term use leaves consequences that outlast the drinking.
A note on stopping safely
Withdrawal from alcohol and from benzodiazepines can be medically dangerous. If you are using either regularly, please don't stop suddenly on your own — speak to a clinician first, whether that's us, your GP, or an urgent care service.
What Oblix AI does here
Reads uploaded records and previous sessions. Surfaces what's relevant before a consultation — the history that matters, what's changed, what's worth asking about. Drafts the transcript afterwards for the practitioner to check and correct.
Works alongside
Addiction rarely presents alone. Oblix connects this pathway to mental health, physical health and rehabilitation — so co-occurring needs are part of the same picture rather than a separate referral.
